When Juergen Landmann told their parents about their plan in the 90s to produce wine no longer for the regional cooperative wine society but to go their own way instead their parents were not amused.

He planned to favour environmentally friendly wine growing methods, less harvest and higher quality. They were given two hectares to prove that their plan is working.

Meanwhile the parents are no longer sceptical but rather proud. Today Landmann  have 24 hectares in the best producing regions.

More and more of the producing regions which correspond with the high demand for quality on the Tuniberg near Freiburg have been taken over by Landmann - and also excellent wineyards in hungerian Villany, where they produce red wines of best quality.
